I like this kid

James Blunt on Sesame Street makes me LOL

Okay so I still think he’s like the King Of Douches but this is pretty classic.

This shape was brilliant
This shape was pure
I saw three angles, of that I am sure
And I saw three pointy corners
and then I saw three straight sides
The top was very narrow
and the base was oh so wide

(Wait! That sounds like..)

A TRIANGLEEE
MY TRIANGLEEE
OH TRIANGLEE IT’S TRUE
I saw your shape in a crowded place
Now I don’t know what to do
Cuz you’re gone and I’m so blue

(Thanks to Popbitch for the heads-up)

If you like Star Wars and trumpets, then this is the Youtube video for you

Hell, even if you don’t like Star Wars or trumpets, this is the Youtube video for you. For this is the video where you watch a woman named Stacey Hedger (who’s obviously never played a trumpet before in her life) dance around in a unitard (complete with sparkly silver fringe and very silver shoes) and use her trumpet - wait for it - as a phaser gun. In between gleefully running around playing a Storm Trooper, she puts her lips to the horn of glory and plays her little heart out. And it’s bad. So deliciously bad.

Feist’s music video for 1234

Leslie Feist is my homegirl. I was so excited when this album turned out to be even better than her last, which I thought would be impossible, but no. Anyway this is definitely one of the standout tracks from the album, and the video is really neat.

But a lot of the neatness stems from how it was shot, which you can see below in this ‘the making of’ video.

Possibly the greatest music video of all time….

And not to mention, one of the best songs out right now. I seriously have had this song in my head for three months straight! Here’s the video for Spoon’s awesome song, ‘Don’t you evah’ (which is actually a cover of an unreleased song by the band The Natural History). It features the awesome robot Keepon and is definitely worth at least one viewing… or, if you’re like me, 15 viewings.

The cuteness of this music video will make your head explode

The best part is the catnip dealer. I’ve watched this video about six times today and I still love it.

Stupid people comfort me

(Just in case you can’t watch this because you are stealthily checking this site while getting paid to most definitely not check this site and therefore you can’t risk doing anything with sound that implies you are watching youtube videos, here is a synopsis: The question is, ‘What rotates around the earth?’ and the options are a) the moon, b) the sun, c) mars, and d) venus. The idiot blows his $1,500 by asking the audience, 56% of whom believe the answer to be THE SUN, and then gives his final answer as THE SUN. His wife is obviously reconsidering their holy union at the end of the video.)

This video comforts me because I like the idea that there are studios full of audiences and contestants out there (in France, even) that are much, much, much, much dumber than me. In fact, while most people seem to be focusing on the fact that this video “proves the french are stupid”, I like to take a much simpler approach and just be pleased that there are so many people dumber than me anywhere. The language stupid people choose to use is irrelevant. You might argue that I should dream for a world full of intelligent, forward thinking individuals. But I don’t want that, because then I wouldn’t have a job. And who would wash my car? A machine? Never.

Perhaps this might strike you as pompous, but I’d like to point out that millions of people watch reality tv every day and most sit at home and justify it because they somehow think they are smarter than the dumb shitheads they are watching. But you know what? You aren’t smarter. Those people are getting paid. You, on the other hand, are paying money to watch people eat centipedes.

Frodo teaches you how to do the puppet-master dance

There are no words. I urge you to watch the whole thing, because the best part is probably when he “goes craaaazzzzzy” at the end. You might need to watch it a few times because the first time all you’re going to want to watch is Elijah Wood, but I assure you there is a lot going on in this timeless Youtube clip.

Miss South Carolina’s legacy of idiocy will live on thanks to the great internets

The question: Recent polls have shown 1/5th of Americans can’t locate the US on a world map. Why do you think this is?

Her answer: I personally believe that U.S. Americans are unable to do so because, uhmmm, some people out there in our nation don’t have maps and uh, I believe that our, I, education like such as uh, South Africa, and uh, the Iraq, everywhere like such as, and I believe that they should, uhhh, our education over here in the US should help the US, uh, should help South Africa, it should help the Iraq and the Asian countries so we will be able to build up our future, for us.

Double whammy! Viral video of the day AND quote of the day in one delicious post! Remember: don’t blame me if your IQ plummets after watching the above video. Blame the Miss Universe Organization for mandating that an interview competition round account for 50% of these beauties’ final score.
