I had my doubts about Jessica Simpson’s (straight to DVD) movie, Major Movie Star, but after seeing this set of images from the set, I feel like a fool. Because these photos speak for themselves. No, really. They actually tell you the whole movie.
In the photo above we see Jessica’s character looking a little upset. She’s clutching a bottle of what I’m going to assume is $5 champagne (hopefully she chose the brut over the spumante), so we’ll just say for the sake of argument that she’s totally trashed.
And she must be, because the next morning she wakes up on the sidewalk, still clutching her bottle o’booze (hey, I’m not judging, we’ve all been there, right?).
With a pounding headache and last night’s makeup still caked on (and surprisingly nice-looking hair for a night spent on the sidewalk), our heroine pulls herself from the sidewalk, looking for that little epiphany that will change the course of the movie - NAY, her LIFE!
And here we have it. This shot speaks volumes. She’s looking above for an answer, when behind her is the sign that will change it all - GO ARMY.
So she talks to a dude outside the recruiting office (who is probably only talking to her because if she will spend the night on the sidewalk like that she’ll probably also put out for a meal)….
And then she tries to make out with one of the camera guys on the set because we all know how desperate she is.( This is the real Jessica Simpson this time, not some character in a movie.)
Her academy award is so close I bet she can taste it. Though sometimes you can get that confused with the taste of bitter desperation.
