Jessica Biel looks weird on the set of her new movie

When I first saw the thumbnails of these pictures I thought they’d been mislabeled and that the person pictured was actually Mandy Moore. From this head-shot crop I’ve made to demonstrate my point, I think that assessment was reasonable:

However, when I opened the full-size images, I realized there were much bigger problems at hand:

These photos are from the set of her new movie “Powder Blue,” which IMDb’s plot outline describes thusly: “Four desperate individuals intersect in Los Angeles on Christmas Eve.” So, that accounts for the general feeling desperation, but not directly for the ill-fitting smock, the staple gun and flyers, or the socks. I hate to go there, but she kind of looks like a freed house elf canvassing for SPEW.
